The Waterford Food Producer’s Network aims to encourage and facilitate back-garden, allotment and community based food production in Waterford city and county. It is a not-for-profit community initiative (i.e. the monthly meetings will be free). This one is based in Waterford but of course is open to anyone in who is willing to travel to Waterford to attend. If there isn’t something similar in your area, why not start one?
Our monthly meetings take place in the City Library on the last Wednesday of each month.
Come along if:
- You want to produce your own food but are not sure where to start
- You are already producing your own food but want to learn more, get in touch with fellow foodies, or share the knowledge you gained the hard way!
- You have excess produce and want to barter / exchange with other growers
- You are concerned about food security, rising food costs and the impact of our food system on climate, and you want to empower yourself by growing your own food

We are hoping that members will contribute produce, seeds, seedlings or plants for us to sell. This is a wonderful opportunity to promote the WFPN.
